Mission

The organization's main mission is focused on restoring the rights of the individuals that have paid their debt to society and are now trying to become productive citizens in their workforce, churches and communities. Based on the scripture Matthew 25: 26 "Naked, and ye clothed me: I was sick and ye visited me: I was in prision, and ye came unto me," the mission of Restored Citizens includes helping restore the physical, mental, and spiritual aspects of a person's life to get them back on the right path to successful lives through:

  • Pathways to educational opportunities such as GED completion and college/technical training

  • Job readiness skill along with job placement for ex-offenders

  • Targeting areas that will decrease recidivism and incarceration disparities

  • Promote Spiritual uplift, Christian hope, healing and self-worth

Restored Citizens is great for the community!

"Restored Citizens is great for the community as well as the ex-offenders who are to be released from prison for whether completing their time or for good behavior. The movement has brought a hope for the community and also awareness to the people that there is a better way for people being released from prison. I myself am an ex-offender and am apart of the movement as well and the impact it has had on me is totally positive and uplifting."  - Coza Thompson, volunteer
